Blank pages are why you quit journaling. Lanterly gives you a single, thoughtful question every day. You write for two minutes, or twenty. Then you're done.
Download on the App Store Free to start. Your first week of questions is on us.Every journaling habit dies the same death: you open the app, the page is empty, and you have nothing to say. Lanterly removes the decision entirely.
366 hand-written questions, never repeated within a year. Some will take you two minutes. Some will take you somewhere you didn't expect.
Every day you write becomes a small ember on your year grid. Streaks, "on this day" memories, and a portrait of yourself that builds one evening at a time.
No account. No cloud. No AI reading your thoughts. Your words live on your phone behind Face ID, and you can export them as plain text anytime.
Not "how was your day." Real questions, written by hand, that give you something to push against.
Your first 7 days of questions are free — long enough to know if this is your thing. After that:
Yes. Lanterly has no accounts and no server that stores journals. Your entries live in your phone's local database, optionally behind Face ID. We measure anonymous app usage (which screens get used, how often people write) — never the words you write.
Nothing bad. The question changes the next morning, your streak resets, and the lamp stays lit. This is a journal, not a drill sergeant.
Always. One tap exports your entire journal as plain text — yours to keep, print, or back up however you like.
Not yet. iPhone first; if enough people ask, we'll build it. Tell us at [email protected].
